    FAQ FOR CUSTOM ART COMMISSIONS

How long does the process take?

The painting process typically takes at least two weeks, depending on the complexity of the project and my current schedule.

What style and aesthetics can I expect?

It has taken me years to develop my own unique and recognizable style, which I apply to all of my artworks. You can expect the same distinctive aesthetic in your commissioned piece, as I bring the same craftsmanship and artistic essence to every project. While each vision is tailored to the individual, the style remains consistently true to my artistic journey.

What sizes are available for commission artworks?

You can request custom sizes for your artwork. I’ll work with you to select a size that fits your space and artistic vision, ensuring the best visual impact.

The maximum size I can comfortably paint for now is 47x33 inches (33x47 inches) or 40x40 inches.

The most frequent commissions are typically 18x24 inches, 24x18 inches, or 20x20 inches.

Can I request a custom format or orientation (e.g., square, portrait, landscape)?

Yes, absolutely! You can choose the format and orientation that works best for your space. I offer square, portrait, and landscape options in various ratios.

How do you maintain the quality of prints and materials?

I collaborate with high-quality print labs and use carefully selected materials to ensure your commissioned piece is presented in the best possible way. This allows me to offer the same price advantages I receive as a partner. To ensure color accuracy, I use ICC profiles provided by my printing partners for each paper manufacturer. I make a color proof on my calibrated monitor, ensuring the colors appear just right before the final print is made.

    How does payment work?

Once we've discussed all your wishes, I'll provide a custom price for the commission. A 50% deposit is required to begin work, with the remaining balance paid after the final revision and before shipping. Please note, once the work has begun, the initial deposit is non-refundable.

Can we have a video call to discuss the commission?

Yes, I’m open to video calls. However, in many cases, written communication works well to ensure all details and decisions are clearly documented for reference.

Can I request an additional color palette or specific colors?

Yes, if you have any additional color preferences or ideas, feel free to mention them in the comments. I'll do my best to incorporate them into the artwork.

Will the painting be an exact copy of the reference photo?

No, my artwork is not an exact replica of the reference image. The painting will reflect my artistic interpretation and personal touch, creating a unique piece of art with its own distinct qualities.

How many revisions can I request?

I work with you until you are completely satisfied. Usually, only one round of small changes is needed, but I am committed to making sure the final result meets your expectations.

Can I request a specific type of paper for my print?

Yes, I offer a range of high-quality papers from all major art print manufacturers. Simply let me know your preferences, and I'll guide you through the options.

Can I choose the style and color of the frame?

Absolutely. Once we're in the framing stage, I'll send you a selection of available options to match your taste and your space.

Is it possible to choose the size and color of the passepartout?

Of course! I'll be happy to send you the available options, and we can choose the perfect size and color to complement your artwork.

How many hours do you spend on each painting?

On average, I spend between 20 and 40 hours creating each piece, ensuring every detail meets my high standards.

How does the consultation process work?

Before we start, we’ll exchange ideas either through written communication or video calls. I’ll make sure I understand your vision completely before moving forward with the artwork.

Will the process and final work be shared publicly?

The process and final artwork will only be shared publicly with your explicit permission. I respect your privacy and the personal nature of commissioned pieces.
